bookinglinks Privacy Policy

bookinglinks is a scheduling service operated by Alpha Centauri Technologies Inc ("we", "us"). Hosts use it to share booking links, and bookers use those links to schedule time with a host.
Who is responsible for your information
- Hosts. We are responsible for the information hosts give us to run their accounts.
- Bookers. The host who sent you a booking link decides how to use your booking information, and we process it on the host's behalf to provide the service. For questions about a booking, contact that host first at shomirb@gmail.com. You can also contact us using the details below.
Information we collect
From hosts. A host signs in with a Google account. We collect the following:
- Account basics: name, email address, and the sign-in provider's account ID.
- Calendar access: the host's calendar list and free/busy information, used to show open times. We create, update and delete events on calendars the host chooses so we can manage bookings. We do not store the contents of the host's other calendar events.
- Email sending: we send booking and reschedule confirmations from the host's Google mailbox, using permission to send only. We do not read the host's email.
- Credentials: Google OAuth tokens, stored encrypted, kept separately for each host, and never logged.
- Settings: booking links, availability rules and per-calendar settings.
From bookers. Bookers do not sign in. When you book, you give your name, email address and any optional notes. A booking creates an event on the host's calendar with you as an attendee. Google Calendar sends you its own invitation, update and cancellation emails, and the event may include a Google Meet link. We also email you booking and reschedule confirmations from the host's Google mailbox.
Technical records. To prevent abuse, we keep rate-limit records that contain a shortened, one-way hash of the visitor's IP address and a request count. Our web host keeps standard server access logs under its own policies. We use one strictly necessary first-party session cookie, which keeps hosts signed in and protects booking forms from forgery. We use no analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, or third-party scripts.
How we use and share information
We use information only to provide, secure and support bookinglinks. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:
- with the host involved in a booking;
- with our service providers: InMotion Hosting (servers and database) and Google (calendar, email and meeting services, under Google's own privacy policy);
- when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the service or its users.
Google user data
bookinglinks' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the scheduling features the host turns on. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models. No person reads it except with the host's permission, for security, or to comply with law.
Retention and deletion
- Booking information and rate-limit records are kept until deleted by the host, on request, or by us.
- A host can delete their account at any time. Deleting an account revokes our Google access and removes that host's tokens, settings, booking links, availability and booker records from our live systems. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.
- Hosts can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Copies of events and emails in the host's calendar or mailbox, or in a booker's inbox, stay there until deleted in those accounts.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Bookers should contact the host at shomirb@gmail.com, or contact us. Hosts can do most of this in their account settings, or contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time, and as required by applicable law.
Security
We encrypt tokens at rest, use HTTPS, and limit access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across other sites, and we do not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.
Children
bookinglinks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will notify hosts.
