Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri Terms of Use
Version 1. Effective date: October 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri, a free practice tool operated by Shomir Banerjee, MD, an individual ("we", "us"). We plan to transfer Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri to Alpha Centauri Technologies Inc, a Delaware corporation. When that happens, we will post updated terms naming it as the operator. By checking the box and creating an account, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you, and by letting you use Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri they also agree to them.
1. Who can use it
You must be 13 or older to create an account. Give an accurate birth month and year. One account per person.
2. Not affiliated with the SSAT
SSAT® is a registered trademark of its owner, which is not affiliated with, and does not sponsor or endorse, this product. Our questions and passages are original practice material written for this site. They are not real or past SSAT questions.
3. Practice only; no guarantees
Scores in Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri are estimates for practice. They are not official SSAT scores and may differ from your real results. We do not promise any score, score increase, or admission result. The content may contain errors. If you find one, please report it.
4. Your account and content
- Security: keep access to your email secure, because sign-in codes are sent there.
- Your writing: you keep ownership of what you write. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you.
- What not to write: do not include personal details about yourself or others in writing samples.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, sell, or republish our questions, passages, or explanations;
- use bots or automated tools against the service;
- try to bypass security or rate limits;
- impersonate anyone;
- use the service to break the law.
Our content is for your personal, non-commercial practice only.
6. Our content
The software, design, questions, passages, and explanations are owned by or licensed to Shomir Banerjee, MD. We give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use them while you follow these terms.
7. Free service; changes; ending
Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri is free. We may change, pause, or end any feature or the service at any time. You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.
8. Disclaimers
Upper Level Prep by Alpha Centauri IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, TEST RESULTS OR ADMISSION OUTCOMES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO US$50.
10. Governing law
California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Monterey County, California, except where the law gives you a different right.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will email account holders before it takes effect and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
